Food is above average, portions are huge and set menu is worth money. Service is really fast compared to Greece restaurants. Highly recommended.
Food: we chose the Menu for 2 people, but this is really enough for four, I recommend that 2 persons to choose the first menu for one person.
We loved the food here, and such welcoming service! We took the meal for 2pax, which costs €40, 5 dishes, drinks, large bottle of mineral water, and 2 desserts. It was supposed to be small plates for sharing, but they were anything but small. The dishes were delicious, and the desserts just lovely! Found it by chance as we were walking towards Anafiotika.
Highly recommend when in Athens. The sharing plates are an excellent value at 20 Euros pp: two mains (not small at all), two salads, two drinks (NA or alcohol), appetizer, water and two desserts!) you choose what you want. Staff was welcoming. Just go before 7:30 to assure a table. Spots above a street so fun to people watch. Indoor and outdoor dining. And yes, apparently a Rick Steves recommendation.
Delicious food! Didn’t take a picture of it unfortunately but the Moussaka is truly the best one in Athens (and I tried it many times in different restaurants!) 👏🏼👏🏼 would definitely recommend!
This is my favorite restaurant in Plaka! My wife and ai stayed in Athens for three days and we ate here twice. They serve traditional small dishes for sharing, but the portions are huge! Their fixed price menus are the best choice. You get to try 5 different foods for 2 people, and it includes bread and drinks (including alcohol) for €40 total.
Delicious food. Tastes like home-cooked Greek food. We got Greek salad, fried goat cheese, lemon beef and fried zucchini. All outstanding. It’s a lovely place on an ancient street in the heart of Athens. Hard to go wrong. There’s a slight wait but moves quick. We went for lunch and waited only about 20 mins. Dinner is a bit busier we’re told. The prices are so low too for the location. And it’s family style. Don’t think you can go wrong. Make this place a priority.
This restaurant is absolutely delightful, cute, authentic, and full of charm. We had a fixed menu with small plates, which turned out to be not small at all. There was a lot of food, everything was incredibly tasty, and the quality was outstanding. The service was fast and genuinely friendly. Must visit in Athens
Our favorite greek salad is the cretan Dakos, and here we had one of the best. The gigant beans were also tasty. The saganaki was good, with the jam was perfect fit. The fish also fresh and tasty. My only regret is that we couldn’t finish them all😂
